“There are five of us, what should we order?” It is the question we hear most at Águeda, at the table and on WhatsApp. Order too little and everyone leaves hungry; order too much and half stays on the plate. In this guide I share how much meat I plan per person and what I would order for each group size, from 1 to 12 people, at our menu prices.
How much meat per person
My rule of thumb, after many years as a butcher and at the grill, is 350 to 400 g of meat per person, plus sausages. If your table has big appetites, aim for 400 g; with children or light eaters, 350 g is plenty.
Here is how our grills compare, counting meat only (no chorizo, sausage or morcilla):
| Grill | Meat per person | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Grill (1) | 500 g | S/.65 |
| Grill for Two (2) | 350 g | S/.89 · S/.44.50 each |
| Tenderloin Duo (2) | 375 g | S/.99 · S/.49.50 each |
| Strip Steak Grill (2) | 500 g | S/.127 · S/.63.50 each |
| Tenderloin Grill (2) | 500 g | S/.168 · S/.84 each |
| Value Grill (3) | 400 g | S/.145 · S/.48.33 each |
| Agueda Grill (4) | 375 g | S/.219 · S/.54.75 each |
| Mixed Grill (6) | 400 g | S/.279 · S/.46.50 each |
The number in brackets is how many people each grill serves. All our meat is Peruvian, from improved cattle raised in Puno, Anta and Sicuani.
What to order for your group
For 1 person
The Personal Grill (S/.65) brings 250 g each of strip steak and chicken breast, chorizo and sausage, with crispy yuca and fried Andean potatoes. If you are less hungry, an individual cut such as the Strip Steak (250 g, S/.38) with the side of your choice is just right.
For 2 people
The Grill for Two (S/.89) has the most variety: strip steak, pork chop, anticucho, chorizo, sausage and morcilla. If you prefer tenderloin, the Tenderloin Duo (S/.99) swaps the strip steak for tenderloin and adds chicken breast. Both include sides.
Big appetites who only want beef? The Strip Steak Grill (S/.127) brings four 250 g strip steak portions, and the Tenderloin Grill (S/.168) four tenderloin portions. Both come with crispy yuca and fried Andean potatoes.

For 3 people
The Value Grill (S/.145) is made for three: 500 g of strip steak, anticucho, pork chop, chicken breast, two chorizos, two sausages and morcilla. For light eaters, a Grill for Two plus a Strip Steak (S/.127 in total) also works.

For 4 people
The Agueda Grill (S/.219) brings 500 g each of tenderloin and strip steak, chicken breast, pork loin chop, two chorizos, two sausages and morcilla, with Andean potatoes and crispy yuca. It is our house grill. For more variety and anticucho, two Grills for Two come to S/.178.
For 5 people
Two options: Agueda Grill plus a Strip Steak (S/.257, S/.51.40 per person) or Value Grill plus Grill for Two (S/.234, S/.46.80 per person).
For 6 people
The Mixed Grill (S/.279) is our largest grill: tenderloin, strip steak, chicken breast, pork loin chop, anticucho, two chorizos, two sausages and morcilla. It works out at S/.46.50 per person.
For 8, 10 and 12 people
Combine the large ones. For 8, a Mixed Grill and a Grill for Two (S/.368). For 10, a Mixed Grill and an Agueda Grill (S/.498). For 12, two Mixed Grills (S/.558). For larger groups or company events, see our company dinner guide or request a proposal on our Events page.

Add alpaca to the table
My tip for any group, especially if you are visiting Cusco: order an Alpaca Loin (240 g, S/.47) for the middle of the table. For me, alpaca is the best meat you can eat in Cusco: Andean, lean and with a flavor unlike any other. Order it rare or medium. To learn about every cut, read our steak cuts guide.
Adjustments for every table
- With children: the Kids Menu (S/.17 to S/.18) offers salchipapa, chicken milanesa or nuggets with fries and a scoop of ice cream. The Kids Menu does not include the salad bar.
- Someone does not eat red meat: the Seafood Grill Platter (S/.119, for two) brings perico, tuna, prawns and octopus, served at Matará and Ttio. Collasuyo has rotisserie chicken, starting with the Quarter Rotisserie Chicken at S/.24.
- While you wait: a Beef Heart Anticucho (two skewers, S/.32) or a criolla soup opens the appetite without filling you up.
- When dining in: main courses include our complimentary salad bar.
