Where to eat near Real Plaza Cusco: grill and rotisserie chicken at Collasuyo

Just out of the movies, done with your shopping or working around Magisterio and looking for lunch? If you are wondering which restaurants are near Real Plaza Cusco, here is what you will find at our Collasuyo location, on the same avenue: grilled Peruvian beef, alpaca and rotisserie chicken, which we serve only here.

Águeda Collasuyo: where we are

We are on Collasuyo Avenue, by Manuel Prado and the Real Plaza mall, in the Magisterio neighborhood. The restaurant has two floors and seats up to 100 guests, so it works for a quick lunch as well as a birthday or a business meeting.

We are open Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 21:30 and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00. We accept cash and cards, and you can message Collasuyo on WhatsApp at +51 994 403 730.

Only at Collasuyo: rotisserie chicken

Of our three locations, Collasuyo is the only one serving Peruvian rotisserie chicken, pollo a la brasa. We roast it over the embers until the skin is golden and the meat juicy. Here is how we serve it:

In Peru a whole chicken is usually shared among four: that is under S/.21 per person. The quarter chicken can be breast or leg.

Grills, cuts and alpaca

Collasuyo serves our full menu of grills and cuts. All our meat is Peruvian, from improved cattle raised in Puno, Anta and Sicuani, with Peruvian Angus in our premium cuts. For one, the Personal Grill (S/.65); for two, the Grill for Two (S/.89); and for groups, the larger grills I explain in which grill to order for your group.

And do not leave without trying the Alpaca Loin (240 g, S/.47). For me, alpaca is the best meat you can eat in Cusco: Andean, lean and with a flavor of its own. Order it rare or medium.

What to order for your plan

• Business lunch: something quick and complete, like the Grilled Chicken Breast or the Grilled Pork Chop (S/.29 each), with Andean potatoes, yuca or fettuccine. When dining in, main courses include the complimentary salad bar.
• Family time after the mall: a whole rotisserie chicken to share and, for the little ones, the Kids Menu (S/.17 to S/.18), with fries and a scoop of ice cream. The Kids Menu does not include the salad bar.
• Date night: the Tenderloin Duo (S/.99), with tenderloin, chicken breast, pork chop and sausages, or two premium cuts. Not sure which? See our steak cuts guide.
• Birthdays and gatherings: with room for 100 guests on two floors, Collasuyo is great for celebrations. Book a table or, for large groups, request a proposal on our Events page.

Rotisserie chicken or grill?

It depends on the plan. Rotisserie chicken is the most affordable option to share with family: a whole chicken feeds four for S/.83. The grill is for when you want a variety of meats and cuts: the Grill for Two works out at S/.44.50 per person. My advice? If you are a group, order both and let everyone pick what they like.
